HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR 3DS MAX START-UP/ SPLASH SCREEN
When you start up the 3ds max software, while the software is loading, it shows a splash screen displaying the 3ds Max version x, before the software loads up.
You can customize this screen by adding your own image .BMP format (600X300 pixels), named SPLASH.BMP in the \3dsmax root folder (c://Program Files/ Autodesk/ 3ds Max /)
Next time you start up 3ds Max you will see your image displayed for a few seconds before the software loads up.
